The above title is a phrase that I have written in several different emails, notebooks and journals over the past several weeks. Now I shall write it again.
    I got a horse!

Almost everyone who knows me knows that I have been saving for a horse for a looong time. Okay, maybe not that long, but the past few years felt like it. I took riding lessons from a friend a couple of years back and my Dad responded to my enthusiasm by informing me that I could get a horse when I turned 16.
     What!?
I am now 15 and as you have probably already guessed, he changed his mind.

Reba is a red appaloosa mare who is four-years-old and a very sweet girl! Despite her young age she is already very well trained and I have loved riding her bareback without even using a bridle.

I am ecstatic to finally own my own horse! I am also very glad that my parents gave me the chance to work and buy my horse on my own. All that chicken raising and soap making has finally paid off and I am reminded of it every time I hear Reba whinny. ; )

On an end note, this is what my BFs have been up to... I get the feeling they were inspired.

These pictures are only a fraction of what our pony has so patiently endured these past few weeks. Alice and Ayda have grown really confident with our little pony and if you ever need a good laugh, drop by our barn in the evenings to watch the increasingly popular "Peter races".
I'm getting closer to convincing Alice that she really does want a bigger horse....

After all, "Horses are like potato chips, you can't have just one."
