This year our family went to a tree farm to pick out a real Christmas tree!

After we chose the perfect tree, Timmy cut it down.

The tree traveled home on the van roof... a proclamation to any passing cars of this family's latest adventure.

After Teagan ran away (for fear of being up high), Timmy helped get the tree up.

Almost all of our decorations were homemade. Alice and I were ridiculously proud of our popcorn string and Ayda loved learning to make paper rings.

The decorating was completed with a chorus of excitement from everyone as the lights were turned off and the tree was plugged in!

Toren's first Christmas has been made extra special with our first ever real tree. Many memories have been made as we shivered and laughed at the tree farm, strung (and ate) two hours worth of popcorn, and began to prepare for the celebration of Jesus' birth, as a family.

Also, using cream from Molly McButter, I made peppermint ice cream!

Christmas...here we come!
