Activity for young ones ~

A friend once taught me how to make a fun craft using simple inexpensive material. Stick figures! They're super easy to make, and super fun to play with.

Supplies

All you need is felt, safety scissors, craft sticks (aka popsicle sticks), a hot glue gun (low heat is ideal for younger kiddos.),yarn, and pen or marker.

They could do this for hours....

Its pretty easy to figure out once you have everything together.

You first cut about 1/3 of a craft stick off than cut that in half lengthwise. These will be for the arms. You will use the other 2/3 of the stick for the body.

     Next cut a piece of felt in the shape of a dress for a girl, or cut pants and a shirt for a boy. For a boy you will have to make legs as well. Use the method for arms to do this.
   After your glue their clothes on, glue the arms over the clothes and to the sides of their body.

You can unravel the yarn a little bit to make it look more like hair, than glue it to the dolls head. Cut the boys' short and hair on the girls is fun to braid or put a bow in.
