It's easy to hear all the negatives of having a milk cow. But there is most definitely a positive side to it all. One is that it teaches us kids that to work hard is rewarding. One of those rewards is ice cream!!
I will tell you that all of us were looking forward to ice cream from our own cow. Especially after we found out Molly gives about a cup and a half of cream every gallon. We made vanilla ice cream and are still working on fine tuning the ice cream recipe. But, it was delicious!
Alice's rose bushes are alive and blooming! (Top picture) We were all excited when a bud turned into this rose.
These two buddys are always together blooming as well.

We love our milk cow as well! Brunhilda and Molly could be pen pals and share their adventures being family milk cows. :)
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to find a new post with pictures! I have been checking most every day and waiting . . . patiently. NOT! I think Molly McButter is beautiful! 5 gallons of milk a day? That's a lot of milk!! I am happy for you and your family to be enjoying all of the adventure and enjoyment of country/farm living!! Thanks for sharing with all of us! Take care -
