About a week ago, a nice couple we met offered us some laying hens. They said they had more then enough and of course we accepted! They even gave us a rooster. ( rooster V7 was lost to the dog). :( We have gotten several eggs from our laying hens already.
There are 4 hens, not pictured, that have floppy combs. They are the Floppets. ;) They will eat feed out of your hand but refuse to be held.
Alice and I enjoy joking about one of the gold hens that looks exactly like the rooster. She's a bit fatter but her name is so far Lady Roost. If you haven't noticed we enjoy naming our animals nick names that stick. :)
We are really having fun with our hens and can't wait for more eggs and eventually chicks. Maybe we will sell eggs in the future.

Maybe you will have all sorts of eggs to dye for Easter and have an Easter egg hunt in your BIG yard! I hope Dad is off work today and you are all enjoying this beautiful Sunday weather!! Happy Easter to all of you!
