                                                       The hat I donated
  A few years ago I asked my great grandma to teach me how to crochet.  She started giving lessons to Alice and I,and we both enjoy it a lot! 
  Recently we heard about the STAR program of the Good Samaritan Society. STAR stands for STop Along the Road. such as the parable Jesus tells in Luke 10:30 - 37 of the good Samaritan who " stopped along the road" for the beaten traveler.  Its a ministry where anyone can donate what ever they want. The donated items are sold to people,who for example, come to visit the nursing home. Then the money is put towards the nursing home to help make a better home for the residents. 
  I decided to crochet some things to donate. I made a little hat and a sheep.  I did not need a pattern for the hat because I've done that so many times. The sheep?  That was my own pattern.  Mom also ordered a book to go along with it called Little Baa.  It is really cute!
  I had a fun time making those things to put towards the STAR program.  I love giving! I hope to give more to in the future!
